Earlier this month, we began work on the refurbishment of a series of inmate shower blocks at HMP Moorlands, Hatfield, Doncaster.

This is part of the Ministry of Justice’s public works programme to improve facilities.

The projects themselves involve an aesthetic refurbishment of finishes with mechanical adaptations for the showers themselves.

As part of the Ministry of Justice’s programme, this particular scheme ‘may’ entail 1000m2 of material over the course of a year.

Commenting on the project, Tim Vaughan, said: “The large format gloss finish tiles (via CTD in Bradford) are affixed to a hardbacked base board. This ensures a secure substrate which, in turn, guarantees a ‘solid bed’ adhesion from the BAL Flex One adhesive.”

Added Tim: “When complete the refurbished showers present a clean and practical environment one that will ensure serviceable areas for a considerable period of time.”

The project is expected to be complete circa December 2021.
