When the estates team at Doncaster Royal Infirmary contacted us shortly before Easter with an urgent flooring project, we were happy to respond quickly and efficiently to install over 150m2 of new flooring in a busy theatres’ corridor in the hospital.
“We began work on Good Friday and there were no less than eight A Cumberlidge vans on site to complete the project in the allotted timeframe,” explains Andrew Reeves, director at A Cumberlidge.
Continues Andrew: “The team began by uplifting the old flooring and then preparing the substrate for the brand new vinyl flooring.
“Ideally suited for heavy traffic areas and, therefore, use in healthcare environments, the chosen flooring was Palettone PUR from Polyflor in Painter’s Dream, a pale blue solid colour based with complementary toned highlights. Palettone PUR offers a very high abrasion wear rating and is also 100% recyclable and contains 25% recycled material too to provide a highly sustainable and truly fit for purpose floor covering.”
Concludes Andrew: “As expected, the team finished all of the work over the bank holiday weekend and the corridor was reopened ready to receive patients and theatre staff for many more years to come.”
