It remains our aim to exceed client expectations, forging long-term relationships with all of our customers. One such relationship is with the Hesley Group, for whom we have worked for approaching eight years.

Established in 1975, the Hesley Group provides specialist residential services and schools for young people and adults, often with autism who have a learning disability and complex needs with behaviour that may challenge

Outlines Tim Vaughan, director at A Cumberlidge: “We work on a wide variety of projects for the Hesley team, the task being to provide the highest standard finish and at times to suit.

“The Group have a number of facilities in the local area, each with differing criteria. The students each have idiosyncrasies which we tailor for colour, material and texture. This is important for student wellbeing, practicality and safeguarding.

“An example of the work we undertake is the refurbishment of accommodation, where we replace the wall finishes to bathrooms. We do this with Altro Whiterock PVC sheet cladding which provides an aesthetically pleasing environment, but with a practicality of an impervious surface. A number of the panels are thermo-formed to wrap the material around service pipework and units.

“The finished schemes work very well, and the finishes provide the student with a pleasing and practical environment.”

Adds Tom Bottomley, estates manager for Hesley Group: “We have used Altro Whiterock PVC sheet cladding on a number of our refurbishment projects over the last few years. From a care perspective they offer a clean, safe and with the variety of colours, person centred environment for the people we support to enjoy. We use Cumberlidge as our installers as we can be sure that the project will finish on time, which is a key consideration for us as we don’t want to impact a person we support for any longer than we need to.”
