We’re celebrating, here at A Cumberlidge – we’ve just been informed that we’ve won a ‘Bronze‘ for recycling in the Recofloor Awards 2018!
Commenting on the award, Tim Vaughan said: “We’re proud to have been a Recofloor recycling partner since the organisation launched almost ten years ago.
“Every business has a part to play in protecting the environment in any way possible and the Recofloor Vinyl-Take Back Scheme really is a ‘must-do’ initiative. It enables UK flooring contractors, like us, to recycle the thousands of metres of post-installation vinyl flooring, off-cuts and uplifts we generate each year.
“Our installation teams collect vinyl flooring off-cuts, waste vinyl and uplifted vinyl from client jobs in bulk bags which are then collected by Recofloor for recycling. The ‘waste’ from various schemes is turned into either new Altro or Polyflor flooring products or transformed into traffic management products , such as traffic cones. “ The alternative is landfill and that serves neither ourselves, our children or generations ahead of us.”
The 7th Annual Recofloor Awards event will take place on Thursday 26th April at the Anfield Stadium, home of Liverpool FC. Our managing director, Andrew Reeves, will be attending and is already looking forward to receiving our Bronze Award from footballing legend, Kevin Keegan!
