A Cumberlidge, Dinnington-based commercial flooring experts, have installed a variety of different floor coverings in a new build office located on the Advanced Manufacturing Park at Waverley in Rotherham.
Following specification of several floor finishes by clients APSS, the A Cumberlidge team worked over a two-week period to fix 240 square metres of Verde Ceramica floor tiles in the reception areas and to the lift lobby walls within the building in a brickbond pattern.
They then laid four colours of Interface Urban Retreat carpet tile planks, 1m x 500cm in size, in flex, sage, stone and orange in an intricate design covering 450 square metres throughout a number of areas of the office such as meeting rooms, a board room, stairways and a quirky suspended interview room overlooking the entrance to the building.
Explains project manager for A Cumberlidge, Damian Bradley: “These carpet tile planks feature a structured loop pile so when fitted across a large area create a highly interesting and tactile effect. Using different coloured ‘planks’ we were also able to complete the specific pattern and flow requested by the interior designer.”
Finally, the team fitted 36 square metres of Jaymart Flex-Tuft matting tiles made from recycled bus and truck tyres to all the entrances and 125 square metres of Karndean Luxury Vinyl ‘timber effect’ Tile in Country Oak, laid at a 45 degree angle across the area of the in-house café.
